A week later and he's still talking about it!
Even after a few days of leftovers, my VERY hard to please husband is still raving about this simple recipe! I made the recipe as directed and then got worried that it was a little too humdrum for his liking. I boiled a bag of frozen carrots, brocolli and cauliflower that I had in the freezer and added them to the same sauce recipe (red sauce + heavy cream). I first gave the sauce a little extra bite by stirring in 2 tbsp of garlic/red onion that I had blended up to a puree. Then I stirred this new invention in with the original recipe- put it all in a 9" x 11" lasagna dish and kept it in the oven on warm until a very pleased new husband came through the door. It was EXCELLENT! I can't wait for a few weeks to go by so that it can make a second appearance!
